Case Study:
Ullesthorpe Golf Club
The Challenge:
The lake on the 18th at Ullesthorpe Golf Club suffered from a extremely high silt levels which in turn lead to an introduction of reed growth. The reed growth had started to spread and block the inlet. With both of these issues combined it lead to extreme flooding both on the golf course and further down.

Whilst on site we made a temporary repair to a damaged section of the lake due to flooding washing away the bank.

Estimated silt to be removed was somewhere within the region of 600m3.

Our Solution:
The Truxor was deployed to both dredge the lake and also remove the reed growth along with the root system. We always opt for the most sensitive methods to minimise the disruption, this also helps with the green keepers schedule to not have major repairs to the grounds.

The Results:
The lake was dredged removing the majority of the silt achieving water depths on an average of over 1 meter from 20cm! The silt was placed in a location where other works are going ahead. The silt will then be worked into the existing ground.
