Case Study:
Domestic Client - Liverpool

The Challenge:

Simply Aquatic were approached by a sailing club. The lake in questions is called the Pennington Flash which as a whole is approximately 170 acres! One of the inlets to the lake had become blocked with enormous amounts of reed growth which was creating flooding issues further up stream.

Our Solution:

After meeting on site with the committee members of the sailing club and also the local council we formed a plan to undertake the works using an amphibious excavator. The excavator dug a 2 meter + channel from the inlet to the start of the flash, creating a path for the water and also an increase in depths.

The Results:

The end result in this project saw initial water depths drop 1m by the end of our short time there. The channel was cleared creating a meandering flow through for the water to escape.  From the before and after pictures below, you can see how low the water had dropped.
